By Cover MediaSofia Vergara has been named the highest paid actress on television over the past 12 months.
The Modern Family star, who just turned 40, beat out a host of other starlets for the top spot on the prestigious Forbes list. She raked in $19-million over the past year according to the financial magazine but only $7-million of that came from her hit show. The other $12-million is from her lucrative endorsement deals which include Diet Pepsi, Cover Girl and a clothing line at Kmart.
Sofia reportedly got engaged recently to on-again, off-again boyfriend Nick Loeb and is expected to be nominated for a second Emmy award this week. Reality television maven Kim Kardashian came in second place with $18-million which was helped by her guest appearance on Drop Dead Diva and her huge ratings wedding to Kris Humphries. She also has a ton of endorsement deals, fragrance lines and clothing boutiques.
Desperate Housewives star Eva Longoria came in third place with $13-million and Bethenny Frankel was in fourth position with $12-million. Another Kardashian rounded out the top five for earnings from May 2011 to May 2012 which was Kim’s younger sister Khloé who brought in $11-million and tied with 30 Rock creator Tina Fey.
