It was a big weekend for the Idols Top 18. The nine guys and nine girls took to the stage at the Soweto Theatre, for the first round of public voting.
The guys kicked off the voting rounds on Saturday night. Judging from the responses on the social networks, the nation was impressed. Three people who were also impressed were Idols judge Unathi, The Wild’s Minnie Dlamini and 94.7 Highveld Stereo DJ Anele. Check out their thoughts in the video below:
The pressure to impress the voters was on the ladies last night. Most of them got great reviews, but it was Tshidi who really stole the night with her version of Jennifer Holliday’s I’m Not Going. In fact her performance, together with Thabisa “Thabz” Mhoakulwana’s version of Zahara’s Lolilwe, became trending topics on Twitter. Missed Tshidi’s performance? Check it out below:
