Iron Man 3 is scheduled to hit IMAX theatres worldwide later this year.
The latest installment of the Marvel Entertainment action film franchise features Robert Downey Jr. reprising his role as billionaire playboy and industrialist Tony Stark and his alter-ego Iron Man.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will be digitally remastered for an international release in IMAX theatres on 25 April.
"Marvel and IMAX are a perfect one-two punch, and the Iron Man franchise has become a global phenomenon that resonates with fans around the world," IMAX Filmed Entertainment Chairman and President Greg Foster told the publication on Tuesday.
Iron Man 3 follows the superhero character as he faces off against Marvel supervillain Mandarin.
Robert injured himself performing his own stunts during filming back in August but has since recovered from the accident.
The Shane Black film, co-starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce and Don Cheadle, marks the fourth Marvel movie to feature on IMAX screens. Iron Man 2, Thor and The Avengers previously featured in the high-resolution theatres.
